Dr. Nicolina Akraboff (aka “Dr. Nikki”) is from San Francisco and first moved to the East Coast to attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. She returned to California for her doctorate at the University of California, Davis’ School of Veterinary Medicine, after which she worked for three years at VCA Lloyd Animal Hospital outside Boston.
Dr. Nikki has cared for animals almost all her life, from tending to the family dog and cat to helping her brother and sister adopt pets of their own. Dr. Nikki has even pretended to be animals onstage in community theater productions—Snoopy is a particular favorite of hers! When not doctoring or performing, she can be found in a Broadway audience or hanging out with her cat Joey.
